On November 30, the National Assembly of France, with 303 votes in favor, with 95 abstentions and 1 vote against, adopted a resolution “Reaffirming the National Assembly’s Support of Ukraine and Condemning the War Waged by the Russian Federation”. Deputies from the pro-Putin faction Marie Le Pen, as well as deputies from far-left factions abstained from voting.
Resolution condemed in the strongest terms the sham “referendums” which led to the illegitimate and illegal attempt to annex, by the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian territories located in the oblasts of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson as well as the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol (point 7). Also Resolution condemned the criminal seizure of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant by Russia which, through its irresponsible actions, poses a nuclear threat to the entire region, and called for the establishment of a protection zone around the Zaporizhzhya NPP, in accordance with the recommendations of the Director of the IAEA (points 8 and 9).
Also Resolution called for the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, including AR Crimea and Sevastopol, according to internationally recognized borders and insisted on the need to continue the fight against all forms of disinformation, in particular that deployed by the Russian State apparatus, when this country has made it a major weapon in current conflict (points 10 and 24). Let us stress that Resolution also condemns in point 29 the deployment of troops by the Belarusian regime alongside the forces of Russia as well as the delivery of missiles and drones by the Iranian regime to the Russian forces.
