On January 26, the aggressor’s propaganda disseminated a statement by the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, that “the method for collecting the fuel oil accumulated on the bottom and in the water column after the accident of the Volgoneft tankers in the Black Sea has not yet been determined”, and “long-term monitoring systems for the ecology of the Black Sea after the accident” are only “being developed”.
It should be noted that the other day, the “Crimean speaker” Vladimir Konstantinov again stated that allegedly on the occupied peninsula “there is no large-scale problem with fuel oil after the wreck of the oil tankers”.
Also, the elderly swindler from “Consol” added that allegedly “we have dealt with the first splashes, everything has been cleaned up and taken away. If there are no new emissions, we are ready to hold the season”.
Without commenting on the zero role of the Konstantinov-controlled collaborators from the “state council” in responding to the disaster, as well as his active role in concealing the situation in December last year, we will add that “new emissions”, as it follows from the statements of the aforementioned aggressor’s minister, will be guaranteed on the coast.
Against this background, it is characteristic that in recent days, the Crimean “media” have been spreading statements by the aggressor’s state duma deputy from the ecology committee Timofey Bazhenov, that during the fuel oil spill in the Black Sea after the disaster on December 15, allegedly “no disaster occurred”, that “this happens 8-10 times a year” and “fuel oil neutralizes on its own after 4-6 months”.
Bazhenov also stated that “there was no point in washing animals and birds, since they would have died anyway”, and there was no point in cleaning the sand from fuel oil. Since such a position turned out to be indigestible for the aggressor’s propaganda, on January 26, the curators forced Bazhenov to “publish explanations” in which he stated that “volunteer activity is wonderful” and that there was supposedly no catastrophe because “a catastrophe is an event with numerous human victims, and if there are no such victims or few, then it is an accident.”
Bazhenov, before he was brought into the State Duma as part of Sergey Sobyanin’s team, had a long-standing career as a propagandist, also with a focus on “animal programs.”
In addition to his conviction in absentia in Ukraine and the sanctions imposed for supporting aggression, Bazhenov “became famous” for calling hogweed “a bacteriological weapon of the United States.” However, it would be difficult to expect anything else from the host of a “nature show” who “can purify water with a snake, can walk on lava, make fire out of nothing, and much more.”
