In 2022, after the Russian occupation of Berdyansk, Melitopol and Kherson started, the Russian invaders announced the creation of illegal “separate postal operators” there, such as the fake “Tavrian Post”.
This experience was once “tested” by the aggressor on the occupied peninsula, where the fake “federal enterprise” “Post of Crimea” operates illegally, as well as in the occupied Donetsk and Luhansk.
There, the criminal “independent postal operators” were declared the aggressor, even with “their own” useless “postage stamps”. Moreover, “Russian Post” built as “hybrid” one all interaction with these two “operators” through a certain “PO box” of the border town of the Russia’s Rostov Region.
However, in fact, the Russian occupiers have not been able to create a systemic illegal “postal communication” in the occupied southern mainland regions of Ukraine since the spring of 2022.
After the liberation of Kherson by the Ukrainian Army, the aggressor generally kept “modest silence” on the “postal issue” for several months, and only now announced another criminal scheme in which it “combined” the “Crimean and Donetsk variants”
According to the criminal “Crimean Post” statement, it will now criminally “serve” the occupied territories in both Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions. Moreover, all illegal “departures” from both Russia-occupied areas will be “issued” through “PO boxes”, created for this purpose in the fake “Simferopol post office”.
Thus, the situation with illegal “postal communication” in the occupied territories of Ukraine requires a response not only from the authorities of Ukraine and other civilized countries, but also from relevant international structures, including the Universal Postal Union.
