On February 24, at the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs, an international scientific and practical round table “Crimea is Ukraine: Strategy for De-Occupation and Reintegration” was held, timed to coincide with the Day of Resistance to the Occupation of the Peninsula.

Our Association acted as a co-organizer of this event, which gathered a significant number of opinions from experts from various organizations.

In his speech, the co-chairman of the organizing committee of the event, Professor Boris Babin pointed out the importance of the recent decisions of the European Court of Human Rights regarding the de-occupation of Crimea and described the detailed set of approaches he developed for the further work of the Association with international courts and organizations.

ARC expert Associate Professor Eduard Pleshko in his report described the specifics of Russian naval aggression as a component of both the occupation of the Crimea and the current large-scale war.

ARC expert Oleksiy Plotnikov presented a report on the qualification of the criminal recruitment of Crimean prisoners by the Wagner group. ARC expert Associate Professor Andrii Chvalyuk presented a report on combating the financing of terrorism under the occupation of the Crimea.

ARC expert Associate Professor Viktor Filatov described the repressions of the Russian invaders against freedom of conscience and religion in the occupied peninsula. Representatives of the ARC discussed at the round table the further strengthening of the effectiveness of the expert work of the Association.
