The criminal “head of Crimea” stated “according to the results of the summer” that since the beginning of this year, the occupied Crimea allegedly “received 3.79 million tourists”, which is “28 % less than for the same period in 2022”. We have repeatedly noted that these fake numbers of “tourists”, with the capacity of illegal railway communication with the peninsula of no more than a million people, are formed by the occupiers by taking into account all those passing through the “Crimean Bridge”.
At the same time, as Andrei Klimenko, an expert of the Crimean Platform, emphasized earlier, even the “Russian tourists” themselves, naturally measured not in millions, but at best in hundreds of thousands, come to the peninsula on average for shorter “rest periods” than before the occupation. Therefore, they are converted into far fewer “person-nights”, as a key economic category of resorts, than would have been the case with the same number of people before 2014.
