According to the aggressor-controlled “media”, on June 28 at a meeting of the maritime council under the government of the Rostov region, German Lopatkin, general director of the “Don” shipping passenger company, said that they were supposedly going to launch “catamaran-type passenger boats with a capacity of up to 180 people” from the Rostov Region to the Russia-occupied Kerch.
At the same time, Lopatkin’s statements about such illegal transport communications are rather vague, he points out that “in the future for the sea, maybe we will consider catamaran-type boats, which are being tested today, maybe even take up to 180 seats. There will really be a commercial component, it will be possible to go not only to Kerch, but also a little further”.
At the same time, Lopatkin bluntly stated that “the company plans to receive the first “Valdai 45R” vessel in mid-September, the second – at the end of October this year” and “in the future, the company also plans to purchase two “Meteor 120M” vessels”.
It should be noted that these vessels are being built by the sub-sanctioned Central Design Bureau for Hydrofoils, that they are river transport and depend on the supply of European equipment, including engines from the German corporation MAN SE.
At the same time, both the “Valdai 45R”, designed for 45 people, and the “Meteor 120M”, designed for 120 people, are frankly unsuitable for marine navigation. However, in the absence of a more suitable transport for the aggressor on the Black Sea, these boats can be used by the aggressor in some propaganda fakes with “Azov shipping”, which obviously have no “commercial meaning”.
