According to the aggressor-controlled “media”, in the near future a new tugboat “Kapitan Sergeev” will arrive in occupied Sevastopol, which is planned to be “re-equipped” at the “Persey” shipyard, after which it will become part of the support forces of the aggressor’s Black Sea Fleet.
It is stated that “this tug is equipped with search and rescue equipment, can carry out fire extinguishing operations on surface objects, refloat ships and vessels, perform escort operations”, and so on.
It is worth noting that this is the fourth tugboat of Project 23470 ships built by the aggressor with a noticeable delay due to “replacement of sanctioned equipment”.
The aggressor builds these vessels at the “Yaroslavl Shipbuilding Plant”, and then criminally drives them to the occupied Sevastopol along the inland waterways of Russia and via the Sea of Azov, after which the tugboats are “finished” at the aforementioned “Persey” plant.
Now the aggressor’s Black Sea Fleet has two such tugboats, “Sergey Balk” and “Kapitan Naiden”; this type of vessel can be actively used by the Russian occupiers to cover their own sabotage activities against maritime infrastructure facilities, including pipelines.
