Just yesterday we wrote about the “hot pre-election greetings” to the Crimean gauleiter Sergei Aksyonov in the aggressor-controlled “media” from Donetsk collaborators from the so-called “Crimea” battalion.
Among other things, the tragicomic fate of such a “predecessor” for “Crimea” as the “Tavrida” battalion from the “Black Sea Cossack army” was described, where the disguised “Crimean Cossacks” from Aksyonov’s accomplice Anton Sirotkin, most of whom were far from the peninsula, fled to the “Yalta cauldrons” back in late 2022.
As it turned out, this “warm greeting” has now caused a serious stir among collaborators, and now the same Sirotkin is hastily broadcast by channels “friendly” to Aksyonov, with stories about the “exploits of the new “Tavrida”.”
Let us recall that in August 2023, Crimean collaborators really began imitating vigorous activity to “reincarnate” “Tavrida”, but already as an alleged “separate unit” of the “116th Special Purpose Brigade” of Rosguard.
Another version of the name of this structure was the “Cossack battalion” “Terek”, and now this structure is also voiced as the “first Cossack battalion”, allegedly “for 400 people”.
However, in fact, recruitment into the “Cossack battalion” was carried out not only and not so much in Crimea; corresponding announcements could be seen in Krasnodar, Rostov, Novocherkassk, and so on. Everywhere, “cannon fodder” was lured not only by money and “Cossack romance”, but also by promises of “rear service” to “maintain order in Donbass”.
At the same time, a couple of hundred were able to be recruited into the aforementioned “Cossack battalion”, but again, not so much from the occupied peninsula, but from the “Cossack territories” of the Russian Federation.
It is noteworthy that the “commander” for “Tavrida” was declared to be the ataman from the “Union of Cossacks” Anatoly Afromeev from the Volgograd region, who since 2014 had actually been hiding in occupied Crimea from a criminal case on the theft of 7 million rubles through the “private security activities” of his “Stanitsa Plastunskaya” in Volgograd.
It should be noted that the “116th Brigade” of the Russian Guard itself was noted in 2024 in the Volchansk region and later in the Kursk Region, but its “Cossack battalion” appears mainly in the “Donetsk oak groves”, as well as at the “awards ceremony”, including from Aksнщnov.
Such a “thrifty” approach to the new “Cossack battalion”, which has very little “Crimean” except for the name, can be explained by the close ties of its “sponsors” with the next “Putin’s adjutant” Dmitry Mironov.
By the way, it is possible that the recent “greetings” from “Crimea” were caused precisely by the obvious discontent of Donetsk groups of collaborators from the literally “planted Cossacks” who are under their noses and far from the front.
How this bloody operetta will develop further, the near future will show.
