In the first week of January, the previously repeatedly described Crimean Tatar collaborator Eyvaz Umerov, who had received a number of “sentences” from the occupiers and, as it turned out, was now in a colony in Chechnya, “woke up” on Facebook, which was banned by the aggressor. Umerov boasts that he “achieved victory in cassation” against a number of “sentences” and states that he did not leave the colony to join the ranks of the aggressor’s troops to fight, since this supposedly implies “parole” and “admission of guilt”, which the collaborator “does not wants”.

We have described this figure and his “war with the court muftiate” Emirali Ablaev many times; now, in a commentary to “Crimea.Realities”, Professor Boris Babin described the situation, recalling that Umerov is known for the fact that since 2022 he has become a “talking head” accusing a group of Crimean Tatar collaborators, close to Sergei Aksenov personally, of “double-dealing, insufficient love for Russia and all kinds of corruption”, namely the large family of the occupiers-controlled “Crimean Mufti” Emirali Ablaev.

The ARC expert recalled, that the climax of this “story of whistleblowing” was Umerov’s beating of a prominent representative of this clan, Ervin Musaev, adding that the “whistleblower” Umerov is just a puppet of an influential group of Russian special services, which has been lobbying for a long time for the “final solution to the Aksenov’s issue”, and here Umerov’s role was to neutralize the “muftiate”, which was closely involved in financial scams with the construction of the Cathedral Mosque.

“For some time, this attack was repulsed by the Crimean gauleiter and his patrons, but now, obviously, a “second half fo game” is beginning, which will intensify after Putin’s fake “re-elections,” the expert clarifies. Naturally, Umerov’s “talking head” will also be used by the Russians to try to discredit the Ukrainian leadership, primarily the Crimean Tatar representatives in it, and Russian intelligence can “offer him in the role of a “dissident” to “the external market”, primarily the Turkish one”, the expert stated.
