As we have written repeatedly, any “officially operating” “social structures” in the occupied Crimea today have been turned by the aggressor into an element of its propaganda and militarization. The activities of Yevpatoria “civil activists”, including under the guise of a “youth council” and a “women’s council”, can be considered a fairly typical example; as it can be seen from recent “reports” about their activities, in 2023 the main direction of their criminal “activity” was the collection, often forced, of “humanitarian aid for the front” from the population and businesses, as well as participation in militaristic “town-level” shows.
The “colleagues” of the “youth council”, “headed” by the once mediocre English teacher, and now the “deputy head of the school” Natalya Laushkina, and of the “women’s council”, headed by the hardened realtor from “Express-Contact” Tatyana Aldokhina, are not lagging behind in criminal activity, from the “civil council”, where the occupiers “appointed” Valery Bityuk as “senior”, who in the distant 90s received wide “popular fame” as the deputy mayor for trade issues. This elderly swindler and corrupt official, among other things, in the past year was involved in “extorting” funds from local businesses to install a “memorial sign” on Pobeda Avenue to the Yevpatorians killed as part of the aggressor’s troops.
