On June 20, a number of Ukrainian media, such as the “Anticorruption Action Centre” and “Glavkom”, disseminated information about the activities of a major Ukrainian businessman Serhiy Tsyupko.
Tsyupko is a co-owner of the “Kyiv Jewelry Factory”, which controls the extraction of gems in the deposits of the Zhytomyr region. At the same time, according to the publications, he has a “Russian identification code”, and until September 9, 2022 he was the “founder” of the Crimean “firm” “Zhemchzhina Krymu” (“Pearl of Crimea”), “re-registered” occupiers since January 2015, with a quarter share of the “enterprise” .
The media pointed out that at the same time, Tsyupko’s company “Quartssamotsvety” recently received a special permit for the extraction of topaz, beryl, morion and piezoquartz from a deposit in the Zhytomyr region.
However, later the Internet article on the “Anticorruption Action Centre” turned out to be inaccessible, and the “Glavkom” posted a refutation from Tsyupko, which stated that the “Pearl of Crimea” was allegedly “founded in 1999 by the Crimean Republican Society of Hunters and Fishermen”.
Tsyupko claims that in 2014, he was “actually captured by local management, who re-registered the company” and that “Tsyupko ended up in the Russian register of legal entities against his will” because allegedly “identification codes were provided only with the signature of the head of the company”.
Tsyupko suggests to believe that in 2022, exactly when the collaborators began the criminal “nationalization”, “with the actual owners of the Crimean company, its management managed to reach an agreement so that Sergey Tsyupko was removed from the founders”.
This is an extremely exciting story about obtaining an “identification code by force”, especially considering the prompt removal of this number 910317486380 from many “Russian registries”, of course, it is instructive, but it is worth noting that the “Kiev Jewelry Factory” about scandals with which a lot has been written in recent years, so far until now, is listed as the “founder” of the Russian invaders’ Crimean “firm” “Pearl of Crimea”.
