On April 2, Secretary of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDCU) Aleksey Danilov wrote on his “Facebook” about “12 steps to de-occupy Crimea”.

These steps include, as the official pointed out, “a lustration mechanism of personal assessment” for “supporting the activities of the occupation administrations, providing for the restriction of the right to participate in elections,” and the deprivation of pensions, among other, is also provided for former Ukrainian officials who contributed to the occupation.

Ukraine, Danilov added, will work on extradition of international criminals, criminal prosecution of aggressor propagandists, expulsion of Russian colonizers, restitution of property to rightful owners, dismantling of the illegal “Crimean Bridge”, wide access to information about the crimes of the Putin regime and the creation of a documentary base about it, the release of political prisoners, renaming of settlements and construction of memorial objects.

As Danilov added to his post on “Facebook”, a detailed and legally verified program is being developed by the Office of the NSDCU with the involvement of a wide range of specialists and experts, which will be reflected in the new version of the Strategy for the de-occupation of Crimea. Let us recall that with the participation of experts of the Association, complex proposals of the forum “Future of Crimea” on the reintegration of the peninsula were developed, sent by its organizers to the authorized authorities, including the NSDCU.

Separately, our Association sent to the NSDCU its expert views on the specifics of the international legal work of Ukraine in the situation of the reintegration of the de-occupied Crimea, taking into account the changes in the relevant challenges at that time.
