There is a burgeoning scandal in Tambov over cancelled children’s tours to occupied Crimea, RussianNews2 with reference to Yandex reports.
Tambov tour operators refuse to send children on prepaid vacation to the peninsula and do not sellnew package tours. They explain to outraged parents that they have a direct order from the FederalService for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor).
According to Rospotrebnadzor, they do not allow children to go to Crimea because of the high risk ofinfection.
Rospotrebnadzor’s decided to limit travel to the peninsula of at least children due to large number ofpotential COVID-19 carriers, who returned to Tambov and the region from vacation in Crimea.
No outbreak of coronavirus has been officially reported in Crimea, but imposed restrictive measuresclearly point to serious epidemiological problems on the occupied peninsula.
