The analysis of the sites “vkrim”, “forento”, “kimeria” and “dikidi”, opened by hackers, is actively discussed on social networks in Kazakhstan. It shows that individual citizens of Kazakhstan still prefer to “organize vacations through Russian companies,” including illegally traveling to occupied Crimea and Abkhazia. At the same time, employees of large companies are among those involved in leaks, as evidenced by the presence of corporate email accounts in the dumps.
In total, files with 326 thousand unique phone numbers, and 331 thousand email addresses, clear-text passwords, social network IDs, and so on were made public; the majority belong to persons controlled by the aggressor, but among other things, more than two hundred Kazakh phone numbers and three corporate emails were discovered.
Relevant questions arose regarding the online cosmetics store “Virgin Beauty”, a fairly large construction company “AAE Service” with its main office in Stepnogorsk and the oil and gas company “Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V.” from Aksay, which has four thousand employees in Kazakhstan. It is obvious that by contacting sites controlled by the aggressor, third-party companies bear significant risks and not only reputational ones.
At the same time, as DW writes, on October 19, the Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Kairat Torebaev, said that his country had banned the export to Russia of 106 types of goods that could be used by the Russian armed forces during the war against Ukraine. The ban includes, in particular, unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as electrical chips and other specialized electronics that can be used in military operations. The restrictions apply to “goods from both Kazakhstani and foreign manufacturers”.
