As reported in late December by the aggressor-controlled “media,” the fake “deputy governor of the Zaporizhzhya region for social policy” Oleksandr Zinchenko was allegedly “charged with large-scale fraud” by the occupiers’ punishers from the “Main investigative department of the Investigative committee” and “arrested until February 17, 2026.”
It was stated that “the investigation is related to embezzlement from the P.A. Sudoplatov foundation for assistance to security and defense,” through which the funding for the “Pavel Sudoplatov battalion” we have described many times is channeled.
As a reminder, we have repeatedly reported, since 2022, on the bloody tragicomedy surrounding the “Sudoplatov battalion” by Melitopol gauleiter Yevgeny Balitsky, who is closely connected to occupied Sevastopol.
Meanwhile, the aggressor’s propagandists themselves accuse Balitsky’s “deputy,” Oleksandr Zinchenko, whom we previously described, of “spectacular thefts.”
In April 2024, we wrote about the “return home” of this Melitopol native, who in 2018 became the “chief of staff” of the occupation “administration” in Yalta, under the “leadership” of former Security Service of Ukraine’s (SBU) employee Alexei Chelpanov,
who, among other things, has become not only a familiar “idol of corruption” but also the main figure in the “wiretapping scandal” involving Sergei Aksyonov’s Crimean rivals. After Chelpanov left Yalta, Zinchenko “jumped” rather painlessly to occupied Simferopol, where in 2020 he became “head of the department of assistants and advisers to the head of administration,” and since April 2021, “deputy head of administration.”
We reported that former SBU officer Zinchenko arrived in both Yalta and Simferopol as a career agent of the Russian special services, whom they decided to “evacuate” from the Ukrainian mainland in 2017 for some reason. Now he’s arrived in occupied Melitopol, but in a “new role.”
It’s unclear whether the current “purge” will lead to the Kremlin’s removal of Balitsky himself, but “media outlets”, controlled by the aggressor are claiming that collaborator Viktor Zubritsky will be “next to be de-fattened.”
Zubritsky is the aggressor’s notorious “talking head,” the criminal “head of the committee on defense, interaction with law enforcement agencies, and emergency situations of the Zaporizhzhya oblast legislative assembly,” and the former “creative producer” of the pro-Russian channel “112 Ukraine.”
