Several days ago, residents of occupied Yalta attempted to stage a “kneeling rebellion” over the construction of a multi-story hotel on Polikurovsky Hill, allegedly being carried out by a certain entity referred to in several publications as “Fionist.”
Earlier, the occupiers’ “investigative committee” announced it would “investigate” this “land allocation” in favor of “Fionist.” Afterward, according to social media reports, “equipment was brought to the hill overnight and trees were destroyed. Locals tried to stop the work, but to no avail” and an almond orchard on the hill was cut down.
Also, after construction began in this landslide zone, it turned out that “one of the neighboring houses had already begun to flood.”
Predictably, the residents’ meetings led to nothing, and Gauleiter Yanina Pavlenko only promised to “assemble a commission to decide what to do with the flooded houses,” apparently in some “distant, bright future.” In fact, the developer of the hill is the so-called “Special Developer “Finist”,” created specifically for this purpose by the occupiers in March and “registered” to Gleb Polovnikov, this figurehead from Novosibirsk has been appointed as a founder of several local developers.
According to several publications in the Novosibirsk “press,” the real beneficiary of Polovnikov’s companies is Vladislav Savelyev, who, like Polovnikov, was previously a deputy in the Novosibirsk Regional Legislative Assembly, but unlike the “development face,” he is also the younger brother of State Duma deputy Dmitry Savelyev.
In 2023, the same Polovnikov and Vladislav Savelyev “marked” the beginning of construction of a low-rise residential complex on Sevastopol Highway in occupied Alupka, through a similar shell company, namely, the “Special Developer “Villa Mayak”.” Currently, Russian colonizers are being actively offered online opportunities to “purchase” “elite real estate” there.
The “founders” of the Yalta “Villa Mayak” were Polovnikov and the Novosibirsk firm “Elida,” also owned by Savelyev. The tragicomic distortion of the name of their new Yalta enterprise, even in the “official reports” of the occupiers, carefully silent about the beneficiaries of the destruction of Polikurovsky Hill, completely hints at the future carefree “Crimean business” of these scammers.
