French far-rightists keep claiming that they supposedly do not support putin, but they keep demanding some kind of negotiations that only the Kremlin needs. For example, Marine Le Pen, in pursuit of ratings and in an attempt to “whitewash herself,” confused her own predictions in an interview with “El Pais”. Recall that we have written about Le Pen’s activities in detail many times in our investigations, where we explained her criminal ties with the Kremlin.
First, she stated: “When a nation like Russia attacks another nation and threatens its sovereignty, equidistance is impossible, you have to take a stand.” But then she apparently remembered that she could lose some funding from the Kremlin for saying this, and began to argue that she was against sanctions on Russian energy.
Then she began to contradict herself, claiming at first quite logically that “if Russia wins the war, it will be a disaster, because all countries with a territorial conflict will think they can solve it with weapons”. However, then she said that supposedly “if Ukraine wins, it means that NATO has entered the war, because I am convinced that Ukraine without NATO force cannot defeat Russia militarily. And this means that World War III has been unleashed.” The journalist in the interview was surprised by these contradictions, asking how Le Pen believes the conflict should end.
The French Kremlin adherent did not mention the importance of restoring Ukraine’s territorial integrity, which would mean de-occupying Ukrainian territories, including Crimea. She also said exactly nothing about restoring the global world order and working to hold the aggressor accountable for all the crimes committed against Ukraine. Instead, she declared: “I’m not going to give you a peace plan right here on the coffee table.”
We assume that this answer shocked not only the journalist, but also the people who watched it. In her style, Le Pen tries to ostentatiously “sit on two chairs,” while strongly contradicting herself and offering absolutely no action in terms of achieving the end of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine. It should be recalled that just a year ago she was going to become the “president of France,” and today she is trying to supervise anti-government rallies in France. However, she does not seem to have a clear position or program of action, which is not surprising based on her well-known biography.
