On March, 9 “Freedom House” published report, where predictably pointed on absence of rights and freedoms in Russia. Regarding Russia’s aggression report mentioned issues of sham “referendums” in Russia-occupied territories, and stated that Russian forces committing war crimes against Ukrainian civilians, including kidnapping, sexual violence, and murder.
“Freedom House” points that Ukrainians have been forcibly sent by aggressor’s structures in large numbers and that in late October, Putin approved an order imposing movement restrictions in several regions in Russia proper and in the Crimea. Report points on role of powerful business magnates and Russian Orthodox Church in supporting Putin’s regime and determine aggressor’s political system as essentially a kleptocracy, stressing that “official opacity” further increased after the broad-scale aggression against Ukraine began.
The Russian special services ‘instructed to strike back” at the fake “Crimean senator” Olga Kovitidi, who on March 11 announced on the corresponding “temnik” that “Freedom House” allegedly “undermines the order” and “security of citizens” and “uses human rights rhetoric to support terrorist and extremist organizations”. The curators of Kovitidi decided to initiate a “check” of “Freedom House” through her by the Russia’s General prosecutor’s office with the corresponding predicted result.
It is noteworthy that while pursuing structures of this kind, collaborators like Kovitidi clearly do not think about the situation of the not so distant future, how their lawyers will flood international institutions with all sorts of complaints and petitions about alleged “violations of rights” during inevitable trials and serving a fair sentence for all kinds of kovitidi.
