Ukraine will regularly draw UNESCO’s attention to violations in occupied Crimea, Ukraine’s First Deputy Foreign Minister, Chairperson of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO Emine Dzheppar says.
‘Under the conditions of Russia’s illegal occupation of Crimea, Ukraine’s main priority in UNESCO is to use every opportunity to raise awareness of the international community regarding the pressing problems on the temporarily occupied peninsula’, the MFA statement emphasises.
Ukraine’s MFA will continue to inform UNESCO about Russia’s activity that threatens the cultural heritage in the occupied Crimea.
