On June 17, ARC expert Borys Babin took an active part in the forum “Human capital dimension at the URC 2025. Focusing on Return and Recovery”, which brought together representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, civil society, international partners, media, experts and opinion leaders to develop a common vision of human capital recovery.
The forum became one of the stages of Ukraine’s preparation for the “Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025”, as the basis for the thematic block “Human Capital”, it was organized with the support of the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine on the platform of the Economic Recovery Center.
The event was opened by the UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine Matthias Schmale and the Representative of the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine Carolina Lindholm-Billing, who expressed support for an objective assessment of the processes of financing the recovery of Ukraine.
In his communication with the forum participants, Professor Babin focused on the expert developments of our Association in the areas of restoration, compensation and sustainable development, in particular in the dimension of the de-occupation of territories of Ukraine, such as Crimea.
Among other things, the issues of compensation for damage caused by aggression to territorial communities and indigenous peoples were discussed, in particular in the dimension of claims for material and moral damage.
