On April 24 experts of our Association, Dr. Borys Babin and PhD Anna Prykhodko took participation in the webinar “Against the (Trade) Winds: Legal Tools for Europe to Strengthen Climate Finance and Green Trade in Turbulent Times”, organised by the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law.
In the framework of that discussion Dr. Pierre Leturcq, Coordinator of the Green Trade Network from Jacques Delors Institute in Paris, and Markus Gehring director of studies in law at Hughes Hall at University of Cambridge presented their own opinions on European climate law development.
On that ground, our experts stressed to webinar participants on the latest decisions of the European Court of Human Rights and on perspectives of practice in the International Criminal Court and in International Court of Justice in cases of environmental international crimes, human rights and treaty violations, with relevant Crimean examples.
Also relevant perspectives and challenges, in framework of correlation the activities of the Court of European Union and the European Court of Human Rights, regarding ecology, were discussed by our pointed experts at online lecture of Dr. Enrico Albanesi, Associate Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Genova, held at April 25 by National Law Academy in Kharkiv, as part of EU project “Advancing European Green Deal Implementation in Ukraine”.
