On May 14, experts of our Association, Professor Boris Babin and PhD Anna Prikhodko, held a thorough and lengthy working meeting with representatives of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, who were carrying out a research visit to Kyiv in the context of the activities of the Monitoring Initiative in Ukraine. The Bureau plans to publish a fifth interim report in July and their activities relate to monitoring violations of international humanitarian law and human rights.
Previous Bureau reports have, inter alia, highlighted the aggressor’s violations of humanitarian law in the occupied Crimea, including the kidnapping of civilian hostages, deportations of children, and mistreatment of prisoners of war. During the meeting, the Association’s experts spoke about the our organization’s work over the four years and recalled the preliminary corresponding ongoing interaction with the OSCE, in particular at periodic human dimension meetings in Warsaw and Vienna.
