Kremlin-controlled “Crimean media” again began to exaggerate the theme of “Scythian gold”. Now the invaders’ propaganda has found a new alleged “reason” for their rather obviously expected failures in this process: the allegedly fake “Crimean museums”, from which the aggressor filed a lawsuit, “cannot find lawyers” to further accompany the “cassation filed by the museums”.

It got to the point that the Russian Ambassador to the Netherlands Alexander Shulgin even stated that supposedly “Netherlands lawyers are afraid to cooperate with the “Crimean museums” in the case of the Scythian gold”, and the illegal “director of the Central museum of Taurida” collaborator Andrey Malgin announced “search for a solution to the problem”.

In fact, the Russian Federation, formally “not participating” in the process, tried to speculate on the refusal of a number of law firms to represent the interests of the “Crimean museums” in 2022 and, through its puppets, asked Court to postpone the consideration on this basis.

But the Court refused these wishes, in November 2022 the judge-rapporteur was replaced in the process, and in January 2023 the date for the decision of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands was set – namely September 15, 2023. At the same time, the Advocate General of the Supreme Court, Paul Vlas, published a recommendation to the Court to return the “Scythian gold” to Ukraine.

It is worth noting that the aggressor’s manipulative complaints about the alleged “lack of lawyers” are worthless, on the one hand, since, in principle, at such stages of a civil case, a lawyer is not required, as there is a wide practice of the European Court.

On the other hand, when in 2015 Russia decided to “enter the process” not directly, but through the fake “Crimean museums”, the status of which Ukraine reasonably designated as illegal, it was obvious that sooner or later the question of their non-existent “rights” and “powers” would arise, including issues of “legal assistance agreements”.

Let us recall that in August 2022, Russian propaganda suddenly began to spread another fake “version” on the development of the “Scythian gold” case, according to which these Ukrainian historical artifacts allegedly “were not registered” and “were not catalogued” by the fake aggressor’s “authorities” after the start of the occupation Crimea.

It was hinted that allegedly “precisely because of these circumstances” the aggressor is expected to finally lose the case in The Hague.

At the same time, the criminal “deputy minister of culture” of the occupiers Tatyana Manezhina, as well as the “former minister of culture” Arina Novoseltseva, who was long close to criminal Sergey Aksenov and now is in Moscow jail, were declared “guilty in omissions”.

Therefore, it is obvious that after the decision of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, some collaborators will be made by the Kremlin on this issue as “scapegoats”.
