Some days ago, the occupiers’ “media” decided to “show off” the scientific developments of the aggressor-controlled “Crimean Astrophysical Observatory”, allegedly conducted “jointly” with the Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Moscow Physics and Mathematics Institute.
The essence of the “fundamental discoveries” supposedly boils down to “a new understanding of the nature of jets – plasma streams that burst out of supermassive black holes in the center of some galaxies”, which allegedly gives the occupiers “a new tool for searching in space for such objects as “wormholes”, that is, “hypothetical “tunnels” that, due to the unevenness of space-time, can directly connect remote points in the Universe”.
Without dwelling on the scientific side of these studies, we note that in fact they follow from the works of Simferopol professor Alexander Pushkarev, who has been publishing relevant works since 1996, and in fact came to his theory even before the occupation of Crimea in 2014.
The last significant work in this area was published by Pushkarev, in collaboration with a number of researchers from third countries in 2022, and the role of the aforementioned Moscow institutions in it, by the way, is not traced.
By the way, Pushkarev himself is the son of engineer Borys Pushkarev, who participated in the construction of the observatory after the Crimean region became part of Ukraine.
Without focusing now on the moral and legal side of the publication in scientific journals of third countries of works from the “Crimean Astrophysical Laboratory”, which will certainly be given an additional assessment, we note that these studies are by no means of a “general scientific” nature, but are planned by the aggressor for use in the “only important” sphere for it, namely the military.
The occupiers do not hide the fact that the studies of Pushkarev and other figures of the “observatory” will be used by the Kremlin “in the preparation of the scientific program of the Russian space observatory “Spektr-M”, the launch of which is planned for the early 2030s”, namely, to search for “wormholes” in quasars.
Let us recall that the Russian invaders, starting in 2014, have consistently tried to include in joint space projects with the Europeans the equipment of the National Space Agency of Ukraine, criminally seized in Crimea, such as the radio telescope “RT-70”, including for telemetry of spacecraft in deep space, for the Russian-German project “Spectrum-X-Gamma” (“Spektr-RG”), the predecessor of the now announced by the aggressor “Spektr-M”.
After we informed the civilized countries of the world about this, the aggressor was excluded from access to the work of European equipment for the “Spectrum-X-Gamma” project, aimed at developing “global navigation systems” of a new generation, which the Kremlin planned to use for the development of its own missile weapons in terms of their navigation by the radiation of the same quasars.
It is obvious that the same “practical” criminal goals are pursued by the “Spectr-M” announced for the next decade, but whether the aggressor will be able to implement it – the coming years will show.
