As ARC experts pointed out earlier in a separate investigation, in 2023 the Russian occupiers carried out a rather complicated combination with the illegal “nationalization” of the Crimean solar power plants (SPP), which until 2014 were operated by “Activ Solar with supposedly Cypriot and Austrian “roots”, but in fact case controlled by the Klyuyev brothers, close to the Yanukovych family.
At the same time, despite the fact that the criminal Sergey Aksyonov announced the “transition of power plants to the state”, it was the SPP data, such as “Perovo” in the Simferopol district, unlike many other stolen property, that were “put up for auction” already on June 13 for 1.43 billion rubles.
However, the “auction” of almost 363.5 thousand solar modules located on 320 hectares, and “registered” for illegal “firms” “Alpha Solar”, “Beta Solar”, “Gamma Solar” and “Zeta Solar”, was “cancelled”, and “new trading is scheduled for July 26 with a price reduction of 16%”, to 1.2 billion.
In the occupiers’ “registers”, the property of SPP “Perovo” is “brought” through the indicated “firms” to the Cypriot company “Aurnia Commercial Ltd”, which was previously associated with the Austrian “Activ Solar GmbH”, and at the same time it is “partially pledged on demand British subsidiary of VTB Bank, VTB Capital plc”.
From the available sources, it can be assumed that the real beneficiaries of the SPP may not change much, but through the “auction” they will include interesting “minority shareholders”, including those associated with the Crimean scams of “Rostelecom” and “IC Invest” we described earlier.
