According to a number of sources, Crimean Tatar activist Ruslan Lyumanov, a well-known Crimean Tatar activist, was probably abducted in the occupied Crimea.
On the eve of May 24, at lunchtime, Ruslan Lyumanov left his home in the village of Stroganivka near Simferopol, after 30 minutes he stopped answering calls, and later the phone went off.
The last location of Ruslan by geolocation on the phone was recorded on the Simferopol bypass road. On the morning of May 25, Lumanova’s wife Evelina published an urgent message to human rights activists and journalists on this issue.
It is worth noting that Ruslan Lyumanov is a public figure who actively helped the families of political prisoners. In December 2018, together with the First Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatar People Nariman Dzhelal and other volunteers, he came from the occupied Crimea to Moscow to transfer the money, things and products collected on the peninsula to the prisoners of war – Ukrainian sailors in the Lefortovo prison of the FSB of Russia.
Experts also remind that it was on this day 7 years ago, on May 24, 2016, in Bakhchisarai, the member of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars, Ervin Ibragimov, was forcibly kidnapped by the invaders’ punishers, whose fate is unknown to this day.
