As we have previously noted, following the “autumn reshuffles”, the newly-minted “chairwoman of the State Council Committee” Anastasiya Gridchina has been declared the main “talking head” in the sphere of “external relations” of occupied Crimea, trying to portray particularly vigorous activity on this issue.
But for now, it boils down to organizing dances and dancing of “foreign students” at “international forums” in Simferopol and to “protocol meetings” with the “prince of the State Council” Ivan Manucharov, who is trying to “saddle” a new political project from Sergei Mironov “We are Russians” on the occupied peninsula.
However, Gridchina’s “people’s diplomacy” very quickly developed the same properties as a similar simulacrum from her predecessors in this role, the “herald of German re-settlers” Yuri Gempel and the “veteran of blockade lawsuits” Yefim Fiks: conversations in the style of “you and me and we with you”, TV broadcasts of “herself beloved”, and conferences with “student striptease”, but with not so many “foreign guests”.
And in this matter, Gridchina follows in the footsteps of her predecessors, declaring that there are supposedly more than enough people willing to “diplomatize in the people’s style” in the Crimea, but their alleged “visits are incognito” or “retroactively”.
Gridchina also promises to include some Poles and Austrians in the next fake “expert council”, “modestly keeping silent” about the personalities. And after we published an interview with Svetlana Tikhanovskaya about the realities of the Lukashenko regime’s “marriage games” regarding occupied Crimea, Gridchina hastily promised a “visit by Belarusian diplomats”, naturally, without any details.
However, even among the current “foreign students” of the “Crimean universities”, there are few who want to play fake “people’s diplomacy” with the Gridchins: a fake “diploma” is one thing, and complicity in international crimes is quite another.
