Even before the judgement of the International Court of Justice on violations of the Russian Federation in the field of financing terrorism in the East of Ukraine and racial discrimination in the Crimea, many experts predicted that any partial denial of individual claims of Ukraine in this claim, almost always observed in any international justice, would be raised by the aggressor “on the shield” and show off as much as possible, but the violations of international law by Russia established by the court are carefully hushed up.
However, reality exceeded such a forecast, as can be seen from the statements of the “official” Crimean occupiers; they decided to simply deny reality. Criminal “speaker” Vladimir Konstantinov said that allegedly “it has been established in court that in the Crimea there is no persecution on ethnic grounds” and that on the occupied peninsula regarding Ukrainians, there is supposedly “no infringement of their rights, including to receive education in their native languages”.
The illegal channel “Crimea 24” stated that allegedly “the court recognized that residents of the Crimea have access to education in the Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian languages”, referring to a text from the aggressor’s Foreign Ministry stating that allegedly, according to the decision of the International Court, “there are no discrimination against Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians in Crimea.”
“Millet” also duplicated this, however, having hinted at this, the decision described “a sharp reduction in the number of schools offering education in the Ukrainian language” as “a violation of obligations under the CERD regarding the right to education”. In fact, of course, we are not talking about some kind of formal “violation”, which the majority of the “talking heads” of the aggressor not only “didn’t notice”, but also lie the opposite.
The essence of the decision of the International Court of Justice is that it was not certain “violations” that were established, but rather the Russian state policy of racial discrimination against Ukrainian education, that is exactly the same racism, which aggressor’s aforementioned talking heads conduct and defend.
