On April 3, the “Center for Journalistic Investigations” published a study on the terrorist structure “Convoy”, declared as a kind of aggressor’s “Crimean” unit, as well as “Aksyonovites”.
“CJI” experts stated that most of the mercenaries of the criminal “Convoy” are not from the occupied Crimea, but from different regions of Russia, and that the “Convoy” is headed by a Russian from St. Petersburg Konstantin Pikalov, close to Prigozhin “Wagnerian” with the call sign “Mazai”.
The “speaker” of the terrorists, adds “CJI”, is a terrorist associate of Pikalov, Vasily Yashchikov, call sign “Yashchik”, from Kabardino-Balkaria. The ARC has already noted this figure, who, on the air of the aggressor’s “Crimean” propaganda, publicly promoted Aksyonov. In turn, the “CJI” points out that their journalists “reviewed all … promo videos [of the terrorists] and found only two Crimean residents – from Simferopol and the Zolote Pole of the Kirovsky District (call sign “Stalker”)”.
Other identified “Convoy” terrorists themselves do not hide in the available videos that they are from Russian Belgorod, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Krasnodar, Omsk, Pyatigorsk, Stavropol, and so on.
As the “CJI” wrote earlier, the terrorist structure “Convoy” as an alleged “reconnaissance and assault unit” as part of the “Livadia” structure, as in the “30th BARS battalion” assigned as “reservists” at the aggressor’s 150th motorized rifle division, with a constant based in the Rostov region.
This situation confirms the thesis previously put forward by our Association that although Russia has begun to criminally form “BARS” structures since 2021 not only on its own territory, but also in the occupied Crimea, since February 2022 these “Crimean” structures “BARS” have been in propaganda occupiers “did not shine”, due to not very significant numbers.
As the ARC wrote earlier, in the future, the aggressor already tried to “pass off for the Crimean” “detachment” “BARS-20”, “provided” not through the aggressor’s Ministry of Defense, but from the criminal “Union of Donbass Volunteers”, through the activities of Alexander Borodai and the terrorist “Orthodox oligarch” Konstantin Malofeev, but that formation also mainly consists of Russians and Eastern Ukrainian collaborators, and not Crimean residens.
It is obvious that in the “Convoy” described by “CJI”, aka “Livadia”, aka “BARS-30”, a similar “state of affairs” has developed.
It can be assumed that the alleged “Crimean flavor” for the “Convoy” was created by its puppeteers as a “retribution” with Sergei Aksenov, in the form of PR and power support for the latter, for the opportunities provided by the criminal “head of Crimea” to these terrorists to “base” in the occupied peninsula, as well as for an obvious share in the lands and enterprises of the region stolen by the Crimean collaborators.
