As it was previously reported, in January 2023, the Russian occupiers were forced to admit a reduction in the illegal ‘organized tourist flow” by at least half; Earlier, representatives of the “Crimean business” spoke about a “fall in the number of tourists” by at least 30 %.
However, the criminal “head of Crimea” Sergey Aksyonov decided not to “believe” even such obviously “embellished” figures and stated that in 2022 allegedly “6 million 534 thousand people rested in Crimea”. It should be noted that earlier the occupiers named a figure of 6.3 million for 2020 and 7.4 million in 2019.
However, even then, independent experts spoke about the overestimation of these “indicators” by about half. Also, the occupiers themselves stated in 2020 that 30% of the “vacationers” illegally arrived on the peninsula by plane and only 5% by train, the rest – by road through the illegal “Crimean Bridge”.
At the same time, in 2022, the Russian occupiers completely closed illegal air traffic, and the number of “tourists” illegally transported by trains could not physically grow by “fold”, as we have repeatedly reported.
Thus, the criminal “Crimean Bridge” remains the main “logistic link” for the aggressor, and the Russian occupiers traditionally consider all persons who illegally crossed it to be alleged “tourists”.
The fake “millions” in Aksyonov’s annual statements, which became especially ridiculous for the occupied Crimea of the military model of 2022, have a simple explanation – a few years ago, Putin publicly demanded to increase the number of “tourists” in Crimea to 10 million people in 2025 in order to “exceed the Soviet indicators”, and the Crimean collaborators stopped thinking about a certain “plausibility” of their statements long time ago.
