On December 10, experts from our Association, Professor Borys Babin and Associate Professor Anna Prikhodko took part in the event “Drivers of Change: Business for People and About People”, dedicated to the International Human Rights Day.
The event was held with the support of the United Nations Development Program within the framework of the project “Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Ukraine” in the context of restoring the consequences of the war and the path to European integration.
During the discussion, leading Ukrainian media companies shared their experience in creating inclusive content, discussed ways to overcome barriers and highlighted the diversity of Ukrainian society.
As the participants of the event emphasized, in the conditions of war, Ukrainian media are transforming to meet the needs of the whole society.
The experience of leading Ukrainian companies in the field of human rights was analyzed through the prism of two flagship projects of the UN Global Compact Network Ukraine, the human rights business accelerator and the Mental Help initiative.
The participants discussed practical tools for implementing human rights in business processes and in mental health support programs, as well as opportunities to join these initiatives.
Industry leaders also shared best practices for veteran employment, professional retraining programs, and support for veteran entrepreneurship.
The Association’s experts shared our developments in relevant areas in measuring deoccupation and reintegration of Ukrainian territories, including Crimea, as well as in measuring transitional justice with the event participants.
