On April, 21 expert of our Association Professor Borys Babin took part in discussion “Why Ukraine’s victory over the Russian Federation as a key to deterrining China’s cross-strait military aggression against Taiwan” held in Kyiv with participation of diplomats from Austria, Denmark, France, Japan, Lithuania, Romania, UK and other states, also of Ukrainian MPs, experts, media and NGO sector.

Discussion, organized by International Centre for Ukrainian Victory was welcomed by Lee Roy Chun, as deputy of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of China (Taiwan) and Wang Ting-Yu member of Taiwan’s parliament foreign affairs committee.

Those representatives of authorities, not recognized by Communistic Beijing stressed own deep support to Ukrainian fight against Russia’s imperialism and stressed that Ukraine’s victory is a key condition for safety of democracies.

Romanian MP, member of committee of defense Pavel Popescu pointed on this issue on duty to support Ukraine, to stop feeding Russia’s economy and to enforce counteraction against Russian aggression, including maritime one.

In own speech professor Babin agreed with stressed statements of Hanna Hopko and U.S. expert Benjamin Schmitt that the Crimea is a crucial issue in modern imperialistic Russia’s aggression, supported by Communistic China and Iran regime. ARC expert reminded that Russia has no legal grounds to be presented in UN structure, including Security Council, and also the Communistic China should be replaced in UN by its democratic Taiwan-located government.

Presenting Association’s studies regarding reintegration of the Crimea, including issues of foreign aid Professor Borys Babin stressed on responsibility as Russian aggressor so its satellites and supporters for damages caused by occupation of the Crimea and next broad-scale aggression and war crimes, committed by Russia using illegally occupied territories and its recourses.

Dr. Babin stressed on this issue on duty to re-evaluate of politics of Merkel and Olland governments in 2014-2020 that partially tolerated Russian aggressive policy against Europe. ARC expert also discussed those issues on fields of meeting with key Austrian, French and Japan diplomats including issues of sanction policy, counteraction maritime aggression of imperialists and support of de-occupation and reintegration of Crimea.
