On the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine, a number of experts of our Association received encouragement and awards from the authorities and local governments.
The grounds for encouragement were the specific practical results of the human rights, educational, lobbying, educational, research and information activities of the experts over the past five years, which we have repeatedly reported to the public.
In particular, the relevant achievements of the Association were obtained in cooperation with the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and the Kyiv Aviation Institute, both in the regional dimension and in dialogue with international institutions, in particular the UN and the OSCE, where our experts went on official trips.
Of particular importance here were systematic events at conferences on the human dimension, cooperation with UN special rapporteurs and experts, as well as information, educational and training events held in a number of regions on the prospects for the de-occupation and reintegration of the territories of Ukraine, on the protection of the rights of the indigenous peoples of Ukraine and of the Crimean residents, repressed by the aggressor, and of other victims of international crimes.
Also of great importance were the results of our Association’s investigations, which became a prerequisite for improving sanctions policy and approving a number of decisions by international institutions.
Among other things, our Association’s experts Eduard Pleshko, Oleksiy Plotnikov, Anna Prykhodko and Andriy Chvalyuk received thanks from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine and from the Head of the Kherson Regional Council.
Andriy Chvalyuk also received thanks from the Mayor of Dnipro, and Anna Prykhodko – from the Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration. The Association’s expert, Borys Babin, was also encouraged by thanks from the Ministry of Culture and the aforementioned State Committee, and honorary certificates from the Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy and other regional administrations.
