In order to strengthen ongoing cooperation with United Nations bodies and agencies, our Association has informed the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights for the preparation of its follow-up study on the impact of mental health problems on the enjoyment of human rights by young people, which will be submitted to the Human Rights Council in September.
The ARC’s submission, prepared by Anna Prykhodko, Olexiy Plotnikov, and other experts and published on the official UN web-sources now, reminded that the Russia-controlled “Crimean authorities” are connected to the organized criminal groups involved in the child sexual abuse and child trafficking.
The ARC’s submission stressed again that investigations in the case of Jeffrey Epstein additionally proved the results of research of our Association, which exposed the connections of key Crimean collaborators and the Russian intelligence services with the described ethnic group from Yalta that was engaged in child prostitution and pornography.
The relevant criminal “services” were provided after 2014 to certain “people’s diplomats” from third countries, whose illegal visits the Russian special services “encouraged” in this way, while simultaneously obtaining irrefutable compromising material on these individuals, the ARC’s submission summarized.
The ARC’s submission proposed the High Commissioner concentrate attention on such challenges to children’s mental health as the subjectivity of children that is violated during illegal adoption, changing the name and nationality of a child in the framework of armed conflicts, and the usage of deported, displaced, and resettled children as hostages to block and delay the procedures of remedies for their rights.
The ARC’s submission also stressed the importance of the restitution and compensation of moral damage caused to a child, including the method of such damage calculation, including the conditions of armed conflict and residing in zones of foreign military control; of the legal protection of rights of the children victims of the hate speech, racist statements, and genocidal calls; and of the legal protection for indigenous children’s mental health.
