In recent days, the occupiers’ propaganda has been spreading stories about “investment agreements” allegedly concluded regarding occupied Crimea and Sevastopol at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, held by the aggressor amid kinetic sanctions on military and logistics facilities in and around the “northern capital” of Russia.
Among other things, an “agreement” was announced between the Sevastopol “government” and the “Monolith Group of Companies” regarding the “creation of a new urban district” in the area of the 7th kilometer of the Balaklava Highway, with the stated 57 billion rubles supposedly to be spent over 10 years.
It should be noted that “Monolith” has been the main “urban development” trough for Crimean gauleiter Sergei Aksyonov throughout the occupation. Aksyonov holds a “specific stake” in the “Monolith” system, registered to his mother-in-law, Lyudmila Dobrynya, and his “associate,” Svetlana Babiy, as well as to Aksyonov’s accomplice, the infamous Mikhail Sheremet.
The situation is particularly tragicomic due to the recent arrest by the occupiers, as part of a fierce inter-clan struggle, of the so-called “chief architect” of Alushta, Alexander Strubalin, a long-time, “distinguished” figure in “Monolith” structures.
Another “large-scale investment project” is the predatory development of a “resort complex” in the vicinity of Karadag in Koktebel, which promises to launder 10 billion rubles. The “investor” is stated to be “Specialized developer Forum-Chaika,” a subsidiary of the “Simferopol development company”, whose “founders” include Zarina Avamileva and the notorious businessman Eduard Grivkovsky, previously wanted by Ukraine.
We previously wrote about a scam by this same “company,” also linked to the Aksyonov clan, including the criminal Dmitry Polonsky, to destroy a park near Lake Moinaki in Yevpatoria to build a residential complex. Therefore, it’s not surprising that this development project in Koktebel was actively promoted by Sergei Aksyonov’s wife, Elena, and her sister, Evgenia Dobrynya, several years ago.
Besides Aksyonov, the fake “speaker” Vladimir Konstantinov is also not far behind in simulating Crimea’s “investment attractiveness.” He signed a “memorandum” at the forum between the sanctioned Bank “Rossiya” and the “specialized developer” “Arion”, regarding certain “integrated development projects in the cities of Yalta and Alushta.”
The aggressor’s propaganda “forgot” to mention that this “Arion”, “registered” in Simferopol two years ago, is part of Konstantinov’s “Konsol-Stroy LTD” group.
Thus, the Crimean gauleiters have declared their own structures to be “key Crimean investors,” and the question here is not so much where the tens of billions in “investments” described above came from, but what will happen to them in reality, not in the online feed of occupation propaganda.
