Some days ago, the Crimean “press” displayed a new surge of activity by a seasoned collaborator, a costumed “Crimean Cossack” with 20 years of experience, Vadim Ilovchenko.
This figure, who once worked part-time as a “guard” of the Simferopol bus station and in all sorts of raider operations, such as the fight for control over the Yevpatoria sanatorium “Iskra”, who naturally received a conviction for abuse before 2014, has now become a “deputy of the state council” and is declared “ataman of the Crimean Cossack district of the Black Sea Cossack army”.
The essence of Ilovchenko’s new scams boils down to attempts to squeeze out Simferopol real estate for a “boarding school” for the “Crimean Cossack cadet corps”, as well as to receive additional “budget bonuses” through the “new republican law on the Cossacks”.
Over the past year, Ilovchenko has appeared in the news mainly as the “talking head” of the “Bars-Crimea” TikTok battalion, which we have described many times, and his task has also become “knocking out” “cannon fodder” for the front from the “local Cossack communities” of the peninsula in the form of “30% of the quantitative composition” for hidden “mobilization”.
And although Ilovchenko’s previous “merits” before the aggressor of the 2014 “spill” are remembered only in the “narrow circle” of Crimean “professional Cossacks”, and his role in the scams with the structures of “Sobol” of Vitaly Khramov and “NewsFront” of Konstantin Knyrik is preferred not to be mentioned by the “hero of the Cossacks” himself, it is possible that the scam with the “cadet corps”, against the general background of the unbridled militarization of the Crimean youth by the occupiers, will be able to “give a piece of cake” and bring its initiators a corresponding jackpot in the embezzlement of funds and real estate.
