The active interaction of civilized countries to support Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression has different forms, and the position of France is traditionally important.
Recall that at the Crimean Platform summit in August 2022, French President Emmanuel Macron said that his country would never recognize the attempted annexation of Crimea and would support the struggle of the Ukrainians, and in October the French delegation actively participated in the parliamentary summit of the Crimean Platform.
Now at a meeting with a delegation of the United4Ukraine inter-parliamentary network, Laurence Boon, Secretary of State for European Affairs of the French Foreign Ministry, said that in the course of further support to Ukraine, two conferences will be held, one of which deals with current acute challenges, and the other with post-war reconstruction.
There is no doubt that within the framework of the current forms of cooperation between France and Ukraine, the key issues have become the joint counteraction to Russian state terrorism, stopping Russian external propaganda of war crimes and genocide, as well as strengthening and coordinating the sanctions policy of both countries, as well as the European Union.
In addition, the coordination of the positions of the two countries in international organizations and courts, as well as the prospect of France’s participation in a separate tribunal on Russian aggression, remain important; it is obvious that the corresponding inter-parliamentary and inter-governmental bilateral interaction will now be strengthened.
