On February 20, our Association’s expert Maria Varfolomeeva took an active part in the evening of gratitude to Belgian volunteers “Unity Gives Strength”, which was held in Brussels by the public organization “Ukrainian Voices Refugee Committee” on the occasion of the twelfth years of the Russian aggression in Crimea and the beginning of the fifth year of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.
Welcoming the attendees, the head of the aforementioned organization, Mykhailo Dzivitskyi, emphasized the importance of Ukrainian-Belgian public cooperation and the role of Belgian volunteers in helping Ukraine.
The event included performances by creative groups, videos about volunteer activities, an appreciation ceremony, and networking.
During the conversation with Belgian volunteers, our expert shared the achievements of our Association in raising awareness among Europeans about the events in the occupied territories of Ukraine and the results of interaction with international institutions, in particular with the bodies of the European Union located in Brussels.
The volunteers were particularly interested in the results of our investigations into the activities of structures and emissaries of the Russian shadow fleet and other aggressor’s sanctioned transactions in European countries, in particular in Belgium. The Belgian volunteers expressed sincere confidence in the inevitability of the de-occupation of all territories of Ukraine, including the Crimea.
