On July 27 and 28, our Association expert Professor Babin held a series of lectures on the protection of victims of aggression and mechanisms for reintegration of occupied territories for participants of the summer “Freedom Camp” organized in Lviv region by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom.
The camp participants, selected by the organizers from more than 360 applications, discussed the occupation of Crimea, human rights violations on the peninsula, the role of non-violent resistance, international campaigns, visual storytelling, and also developed skills in advocacy, strategic thinking and creative activism.
Also on July 28 in Lviv, ARC expert Boris Babin took part in the presentation of a collection of works by the outstanding Crimean Tatar composer, Honored Artist of Ukraine Dzhemil Karikov, which coincided with the 65th anniversary of the Master.
In his communication with the participants of the event, Professor Babin once again noted the exceptional role of the true moral and intellectual leaders of the Crimean Tatar people, who for decades have devoted all their efforts to preserving the people’s originality, identity and culture for further Crimean Tatar sustainable development after deoccupation.
