As we wrote earlier, an expert of our Association, Professor Borys Babin took an active participation in the OSCE III Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting, which was held on May 2 and 3 in Vienna.
During this event, Dr. Babin had a fruitful discussion about modern challenges of countering the discrimination with researchers from many OSCE states and discussed with them current situations with attacks on vulnerable ethnic, religious and other groups in Armenia, Georgia, and Russia-occupied territories of Ukraine.
Regarding those situations professor Babin stressed attention on such forms of provocation as usage by pro-Russian structures in Armenia and Georgia so-called “traditional values” as hate speech against LGBT as a propaganda tool on elections, used by political forces, controlled by Russian intelligence.
The similar practice regarding electoral hate speech against migrants, organised by Russian intelligence, was noticed in various European states, ARC’s expert stated.
The ARC expert added that Russian invaders organised total hate speech against LGBT so against “illegal migrants” during fake “electoral processes” in the Crimea and other Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine.
Those issues started a fruitful discussion with participants of Meeting’s event “The Council of Europe’s Intercultural Inclusion Approach: Unlocking the Diversity Power for Cohesive Societies” convened by Council of Europe and “LGBTQ+ Rights in the OSCE Region”, held by “Human Rights House Foundation”.
