In the framework of permanent cooperation with UN bodies our Association sent submission to the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples this January for its Study on “Indigenous Peoples right to data, including data collection and disaggregation”. Also the Crimean Tatar Resource Center informed UN Mechanism for that topic.

ARC’s submission noted also that Crimean Tatar and their Mejlis, have no any verified data on negative ecologic and development consequences as of aggressor’s undermining of the Kakhovka HPP, so of December fuel oil catastrophe in the waters of the Black Sea, so for climate change and desertification of the Crimea, where Russian illegal “governments” and “media” disseminate fakes and hide real situation.
ARC’s submission reminded that Ukrainian authorities adopted some strategic and program documents regarding reintegration of Crimea after its de-occupation that included some aspects of indigenous rights’ realization, including their rights to data.
Also submission described Mejlis members’ activities in that framework and reminded about the investigation by Ukrainian authorities the case on Soviet deportation of Crimean Tatars as genocide, regarding the verified data about historic justice on that issue.
