On December 19, our Association expert Borys Babin and associate professor Anna Prykhodko, at the invitation of the Office of the Prosecutor General, took part in a working meeting within the framework of the activities of the International Council of Experts of the Office on the issue of ​​”International Humanitarian Law and International Criminal Law”. The said meeting will be devoted, first of all, to discussing the application of amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine in connection with the ratification of the Rome Statute.
In addition, a draft Concept for the Development of the International Council of Experts was presented at the meeting, developed based on the results of the previous off-site meeting in September, the purpose of which is to determine priority areas of activity. Professor Babin and associate professor Prykhodko discussed with the participants of the event the prospects for improving criminal legislation on crimes committed in the temporarily occupied territory, including Crimea, and the prospects for the activities of the council of experts.
