On December 14, our Association’s expert Professor Borys Babin took part in the presentation of the results of the II Strategic Forum “Future of Crimea” held by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center for representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Kyiv. During the presentation, an assessment was made of the current version of the Governmental Plan for Deoccupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Crimea
In his own report, the ARC expert highlighted the likely procedures for providing foreign and international technical assistance for the reintegration of the Crimea after its de-occupation, pointed out the aspects of the relevant international standards and outlined the mechanisms of legal, organizational and financial support for the institutionalization of the international Crimean Platform.
Borys Babin focused on the need for a planned and strategic approach to financing the reintegration of the Crimea in accordance with the principles of program management. The expert noted the urgent need to provide appropriate technical assistance to promote the formation of temporary migration registers, proposed by the experts of the “Future of Crimea” forum as a key tool that should function from the first days of de-occupation.
