The other day, the occupiers-controlled “Crimean officialdom” announced another “good news” that “today there are over 160 thousand heads of sheep and goats in agricultural organizations and peasant farms of the republic”, promising to “master” 300 million rubles in the industry.

Such “optimism” becomes tragicomic against the background of previous reports from the same “official”; for example, in February 2023, it was happily reported that “the number of sheep and goats increased by 1%, to 166.4 thousand heads.” However, even here the occupiers’ arithmetic is a bit difficult, since in March 2022 it was said that the number of sheep alone, without goats, “in agricultural enterprises and farms of the Crimea” was 174 thousand heads, and “taking into account the personal subsidiary plots of villagers” – 200 thousand.

Let us note that in this area of Crimean livestock farming, which “delights” the population with both prices and “negative growth” dynamics, everything is quite interesting even with the mentioned “subsidies”: last year the aggressor announced similar figures, but now the farms, even from the words of the occupiers, “for some reason” got it only six million, which Simferopol “generously” entrusted to be plundered “on the ground”.
