At the beginning of August we wrote about the occupiers’ scams in the Sevastopol village of Peredovoye (Urkusta) with Lake Verkhneye, from which the Urkusta River originates, flowing into the Chernaya and thus providing water to Sevastopol.
We were talking about the transfer by Olga Kovitidi’s clan of previously stolen lands and reservoirs, vital for the water supply of Sevastopol, under the control of the “VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation” from the Ural Verkhnyaya Salda, through the Moscow “Upranleniye Hostinits” (“Hotel Management”) and local “firms”, “Sindbad” and “Chernomor-Tour”.
We remind you that VSMPO-Avisma is the world’s largest titanium producer, which is under sanctions from a number of civilized countries. At the same time, the largest aviation corporations, such as Airbus, which purchase titanium products from the aggressor, periodically try to lobby for the suspension, restriction or even lifting of sanctions against VSMPO-AVISMA.
In this situation, our Association sent notifications prepared by Professor Borys Babin about the criminal activities of VSMPO-AVISMA on the occupied peninsula to the competent authorities in the sphere of sanctions in the relevant jurisdictions.
After that, namely on August 23, we received official confirmation from the EU Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets (DG FISMA) that appropriate work will be carried out on our request regarding VSMPO-AVISMA.
Thus, the previous criminal scams of the Kovitidi clan against the Crimean nature and clean water in the taps of Sevastopol residents can now significantly affect VSMPO-AVISMA, which is frantically clutching at the remnants of “external markets”.
However, as they gossip in the Crimean “corridors of power”, this family itself, after the September “resignation of senator Kovitidi” will probably receive completely different “surprises” from its current owners, unless, of course, it thinks of disappearing from the aggressor-controlled territory in time.
